Is Video Call Counselling For You?
We have busy lives. Finding time to book a session and then travel to it can take up much of a morning, afternoon or evening.
It may be you have a busy work schedule that involves travelling or working from multiple locations which would make coming to a regular counselling session at a therapists practice difficult. Alternatively you may feel that you prefer to have counselling from the privacy of your own home rather than having to go to a therapists practice.
With online call video counselling these issues are no longer a problem!
So long as you have guaranteed privacy, an internet connection where you are, and a device with a webcam or camera in it, you can have a counselling session.
I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society working in Private Practice offering Counselling via Zoom for wherever you are in the UK.
I work offering non-judgement and acceptance to help you bring about the growth and change you seek or wish for yourself.
I lived in London for over twenty years before moving to Nottingham. I worked in roles that were pressured, responsible and demanding. I also experienced the significant press of life that living in a big city can bring: the transport difficulties, the intense busyness, financial pressures created by high housing and transport costs, and the stress and potential for aggression that comes as a natural part of living in an overcrowded environment.
With over four years experience working in a therapeutic setting I am qualified as Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a First Class Honours BA Degree in Humanistic Counselling Practice from the University of Nottingham.
How does it work?
It is really very straight forward. There is no need to download the Zoom app as Zoom can run in your own browser, though the app is simple to download and use. Zoom can be used on a smartphone, tablet device, or laptop/desktop computer.
Sessions are secure, encrypted end to end, password protected with a unique password to each session. Session meeting ID numbers are also unique to each session. Nothing is recorded or stored. I send you your unique link via email with the password, or alternatively if you are using the app I can ring you direct with the meeting ID number and password. None of your personal information is put into Zoom and you can sign in with an anonymous email and use any name to identify yourself.
I only use Zoom for the Counselling sessions themselves. Please contact me by email, by phone or through the contact page on this site to organise sessions. We can then organise a mutually convenient time for an initial counselling session using Skype.
All sessions are 50 minutes long, just as a face to face session would be.
Payment is in advance through PayPal, giving you the assurance and protection PayPal offers. All sessions are charged at £40 with the exception of student concessions which are £30.
I am experienced working with clients living with depression and low mood and the disconnection you experience from meaningful life relationships.
Grief is so individual and isolating as society and those around us can expect us to be a different way to what we feel.
Anxiety can be debilitating. Explore your issues and what works for you to be more comfortable in your life.
My practice offers you an opportunity to share what troubles you in an open and accepting atmosphere.
