I am committed to protecting your privacy and we take our responsibilities regarding the security of customer information very seriously. This privacy statement explains what personal data I (Jamie Glossop T/A City Counselling Nottingham) collect about you, how and why I use it, who I disclose it to, and how I protect your privacy.

What I collect
I May collect the following information from you:
- Name, address, phone number and email address;
- Background information about physical, mental and emotional well-being;
- Detail of an emergency contact person;
- Your ongoing circumstances.
What I do with the information I gather
I require this information to understand your needs and thereby provide you with the best possible service. I may take notes after our counselling sessions to enable me to focus on your concerns. The notes are confidential and anonymous. Your name will not appear on your notes, you will be allocated a number. Paperwork is stored in secure locked storage and notes are password protected when electronic.
Processing and handling the information I gather
I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I and my data handling partners have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
I use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps me analyse data about web page traffic and improve my website in order to tailor it to customer needs. I only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help me provide you with a better website by enabling me to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives me access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with me.
